Our vision for 2021 is to expand our partnerships and voice to ensure Central Texans have a supportive place to call home.

Family Eldercare believes everyone who needs a COVID-19 vaccine should get one. We are focused on ensuring high-risk older adults and adults with disabilities receive the information, resources, and support they need to get vaccinated.

We’re calling on Governor Abbott to release the billions in unspent CARES Act funding to support the rental assistance needs of Texas renters and landlords.

On this Veterans Day, don’t thank a Veteran for their service. Instead ask them, “You good?”

We have made the difficult decision to close our In-home Care services program, effective October 31, 2020, after 25 years of providing older adults and adults with disabilities personalized care at home.

Family Eldercare emphatically opposes this change, and any other efforts by legislators to legalize discrimination against any group. We will continue to serve, advocate, and fight for the LGBTQ+ and disability communities.

Our agency is committed to the issues of older adults and adults with disabilities, and we must vocally acknowledge that racial and systemic injustice are leading issues for the people we serve.

Family Eldercare’s Guardianship program is the proud recipient of 2020 funding from Texas Bar Foundation to support providing advance care planning services for lower income Texans at low to no cost.

Scams related to the coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, are rapidly increasing as the public health emergency develops.

During this public health emergency, I encourage you to extend the eligibility for currently approved benefits for Texas seniors and adults with disabilities through the end of the 2020 calendar year. 

Because of supporters like you, in 2019 Family Eldercare served more than 5,200 individuals, and our employees had nearly 64,000 meaningful interactions with the people we serve.
