Celebrating the Heart of Service: Volunteer Week 2025 at Family Eldercare
At Family Eldercare, our work is powered by people—kind, passionate, generous individuals who give their time and energy to uplift the lives of older adults. During Volunteer Week 2025, we paused to shine a light on some of our incredible volunteers who are the heartbeat of our mission.
Legacy of Connection
We kicked off the week with a heartfelt tribute to Harrison Eppright, a beacon of joy who has volunteered with Lifetime Connections Without Walls (LCWW) for an inspiring 14 years. In a touching video, Harrison shared what keeps his spirit strong year after year—and it’s clear that his presence is as meaningful to our clients as it is to our team. His dedication, warmth, and positivity embody everything LCWW stands for: connection, community, and compassion.
A big shout out to our 18 dedicated LCWW volunteers who contributed 783 hours with older adults last year. LCWW created meaningful moments through phone calls, conversations, and virtual gatherings. Even more remarkable, 9 of these volunteers have been with us for over six years—a testament to the lasting bonds formed within this beautiful community. Whether it’s a friendly voice on the line or a shared laugh during a virtual activity, our LCWW volunteers are a reminder that love travels any distance.

Rainbow Connections ATX: Celebrating Elders with Pride
We also celebrated the passionate team behind Rainbow Connections ATX, a volunteer-led initiative that uplifts LGBTQIA+ older adults through creativity, visibility, and fierce love. These volunteers show up with brilliance and dedication:
