Hiring Event: Case Managers Wanted!

Do the work that matters.

Housing can change someone’s life. But getting there, and staying there, can be complicated. Our Case Managers work alongside people every step of the way. That can mean finding someone in a shelter or encampment, meeting them at home, going with them to an appointment, or helping solve the everyday challenges that can put their housing at risk.

This isn't a desk job.

Go where the client is.

Meet clients in their homes, shelters, hospitals, encampments, and other community settings. Build trust and help them through the housing process.

Navigate together.

Help clients work through housing,  healthcare, their benefits, and  other complex systems while keeping them involved in the decisions and goals that shape their success.

Show up for your clients.

This includes transporting and accompanying clients to appointments, meeting with providers, landlords, and other organizations on their behalf.

Document the work.

Keep accurate, timely service plans, progress notes, eligibility information, and other required records.

PG PSH Case Manager

Onsite + Community-based

Work primarily at Pecan Gardens, a 78-unit PSH community serving adults 55+ with disabilities and histories of chronic homelessness. You provide ongoing support to residents and conduct outreach to locate and engage referred individuals before they move into Pecan Gardens.

HUD PSH Case Manager
1 opening 
Scattered sites + Travel

Support residents living in permanent supportive housing across multiple Austin properties. You’ll travel to clients’ homes and other community locations to provide ongoing case management, coordinate services, and help residents maintain housing stability. 

Rapid RH Case Manager
1 opening 
Outreach + Advocacy

Rapid ReHousing case managers help people move from homelessness into housing in the community. You’ll identify housing, work with landlords, address barriers, administer financial assistance and provide ongoing case management designed to help clients remain stably housed.

Travel is part of the job.

We want candidates to understand this expectation upfront.

Reliable personal transportation, a valid Texas driver’s license, and active auto insurance are required. Case Managers travel to meet clients in the community and transporting clients is part of the job.

Work-related mileage is reimbursed.

What we're looking for:

  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Comfortable transporting clients
  • Experience working with people experiencing homelessness, with substance abuse histories, or with mental illness.
  • Able to navigate complex situations and changing client needs
  • Comfortable working in the community and non-traditional settings
  • Reliable personal transportation, valid Texas driver’s license, and auto insurance
  • Case management or related human-services experience
