Caring for a loved one often proves to be demanding. However, if you begin to experience moodiness, sadness, anxiety, low levels of energy, loss of appetite, change in sleeping patterns, or if you are socially isolated, you may be experiencing Caregiver Stress.
To manage stress, the following is advised:
Reach out for help – speak to your doctor, family, and friends, and seek out caregiver support groups.
Seek out information – learning about your loved one’s condition and about caregiving will empower you.
Get plenty of sleep – rest will fortify you.
Eat a healthy diet – a healthy diet will increase your energy and help keep you free of illness.
