Aging is a top concern for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning/queer (LGBTQIA2+) community.

Austin Gay and Lesbian Senior Services

In 2011, Family Eldercare developed Austin Gay and Lesbian Senior Services (AGLSS) in order to provide open and accepting social services, training, resource guides, and advocacy to meet the unique needs of the LGBTQIA2+ older adult community. Austin has the third largest LGBTQIA2+ population in the nation, Family Eldercare and the Austin LGBTQIA2+ Elder Task Force have partnered to meet the growing need. Stay tuned for more updates!
