The Family Eldercare Institute on Aging

As Central Texas faces one of the fastest growing senior populations in the nation, Family Eldercare is poised to help shape our community response through both service delivery and thought leadership on the issue of aging. In order to serve a growing senior population (and their caregivers), we must increase knowledge and essential skills for both professionals and laypeople on a wide variety of aging issues. Recognizing that need, Family Eldercare created the Institute on Aging in 2012.

This innovative series of workshops, trainings and lectures will cover a range of topics from practical to inspirational. Our goal is to not only provide vital skills and training, but also insight into the groundbreaking work happening around the issues of aging and independence around the world.

The Institute is open to the community, including professionals working with seniors and adults with disabilities in a variety of settings (CEUs are available). Most Institute workshops are held at the Family Eldercare offices in north Austin. Click on workshop links below for more details on location, time and to register.

Unless otherwise noted, workshop fee: $10/ person; CEU Fee $5 /person.
Light refreshments provided. Please bring a brown bag lunch to lunchtime events.
