The Holiday Giving Drive project is an annual opportunity for the community to share holiday cheer with our elderly and disabled clients. The recipients of the HGD are clients of Family Eldercare; adults with disabilities [age 18+] and the elderly, who would not otherwise receive a gift during the Holiday Season.
Our sponsors typically include individuals, families, faith based groups, civic organizations, and businesses. Sponsorship includes fulfilling the individual “Wish List” requests of one or more clients with an average cost of $30.00 per client. Sponsors may donate money or may choose to shop for, wrap and even deliver the gifts. The wish lists are usually sent during the week before Thanksgiving. In 2008, 394 individuals received a gift as a result of HGD.
