Wish List

Many of Family Eldercare's programs work with low-income seniors and older adults who are unable to afford simple goods that most of us take for granted. The list of items are goods that Care Managers have seen a continuous need for over the years.  If you would like to donate an item not on the list please call (512) 450-0844 to see if there is a need for the it; Family Eldercare does not accept pre-owned medical equipment (wheelchairs, walkers, etc.)  We request that any item with an asterisk (*) next to it be new.

  • * Gift cards for food and other retail purchases for our low-income clients
  • * Toiletries (sample sizes are ideal)
  • * Stationery - Thank you Cards, Get Well Cards, Notepads
  • Adult sized bicycles
  • Pallet truck with hand brake
  • Romance novels
  • DVD's
  • * Coloring books, crayons, colored pencils, markers
  • Funeral plots
  • Television sets (no larger than 32")
  • Wii gaming console (new or lightly used)
  • Converter boxes
  • TV antennas
  • Jeans
  • T-shirts
  • Costume jewelry, inexpensive watches
  • Baby Dolls
  • * Hair brushes
  • Sweat suits
  • * Paint-by-number kits
  • * Hair barrettes, head bands, etc.

  • Hooded sweatshirts with zippers
  • Boom boxes
  • * Body lotion

  • Sewing supplies
  • Board games (Dominoes, Trivial Pursuit, Family Feud)
  • Sponsor a luncheon or Birthday party at a senior apt. complex
  • Sponsor Bingo prizes for our homebound participants who play Bingo on the phone. Please consider prizes that can be easily mailed such as movie tickets, forever stamps or gift cards.
